Trading and investing involve risk. This Risk Disclosure explains important limitations of using Fractal Chart for market analysis, backtesting, and AI-assisted research.
Fractal Chart is not a broker, exchange, investment adviser, or financial adviser. Nothing in the product is a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade any instrument.
Market risk
Financial markets can move quickly and unpredictably. Stocks, crypto assets, derivatives, and other instruments can lose value, become illiquid, gap through expected levels, or trade differently from historical behavior.
You are responsible for evaluating whether any market activity is suitable for your objectives, financial situation, experience, and risk tolerance.
Data risk
Market data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, adjusted, revised, or incorrect. Provider plans, exchange rules, symbol formats, corporate actions, timezone handling, and streaming availability can affect what appears on a chart.
Always verify critical market data with an appropriate source before acting on it.
Backtesting risk
Backtests are simulations. They can be affected by assumptions about order timing, fills, slippage, commissions, data quality, look-ahead behavior, survivorship bias, liquidity, and position sizing.
Strong historical results do not guarantee future performance. A strategy can fail in live markets even if it performed well in a backtest.
Indicator and model risk
Indicators simplify market behavior. They may lag, repaint depending on their design, produce false signals, or behave differently across assets and timeframes.
AI-generated analysis can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Treat AI output as research assistance, not as a trading instruction or professional opinion.
Operational risk
Internet connectivity, browser storage, third-party APIs, data providers, AI providers, deployments, and local device issues can affect availability or behavior. You should not rely on Fractal Chart as your only source for time-sensitive market decisions.
Your responsibility
Before trading or investing, consider independent research and professional advice from qualified advisers where appropriate. Use risk controls, understand your exposure, and do not trade money you cannot afford to lose.
